Solution overview

With increased customer bandwidth and latency demands, service providers continue to move to passive optical networks (PON) to meet these needs. This lab utilizes DZS's ZMS platform to manage their Velocity optical line terminals (OLT) and connected optical network terminals (ONT).

DZS's ZMS (DZMS) is an SNMP-based management system for managing and operating traditional PON and active ethernet solutions. It provides operators with an easy-to-use Web GUI to run their networks and allows third-party OSS to be used, all without needing a complex environment for the platform to be run in.
