Solution overview
With continued bandwidth growth, Service Providers continue to move to Passive Optical Networks (PON) for their access networks, both Fiber to the Home/Premise (FTTH/FTTP) and for further serving components of their access network, such as providing connectivity to elements, such as cell sites. This lab uses Nokia's Altiplano Access Controller to manage two Passive Optical Networks, one with a Lightspan MF-2 Optical Line Terminal (OLT) and one with a Lightspan FX-4 OLT.
