About Anthony
Going into my 27th year of Cyber Security, I am just as hesitant as ever to share personal information on the Internet!
I embarked on a new journey in 2019, joining WWT for my first ever role away from being on call as a practitioner. My career has spanned many verticals, including FinServ's Cloud Providers, Government Contracts and Healthcare. I have held positions as an Executive Director, Director of Cloud Security and Innovation, Security Architect, Ethical Hacker, Application Developer, and various Security Engineering roles.
When it comes to Cyber, I have covered the spectrum of specialties from MDM and email to firewalls and applications. Over the past 15 years, I have focused in on encryption, automation and orchestration. I designed the Key Management Reference Architecture for Financial Services compliance at a major CSP and created the cloud security framework used by top 30 Enterprises around the world.
Outside of work, I maintain a security focused Linux distro that has aimed to protect families, especially young children, while online for the past 20 years. I partner with companies like WWT to provide recycled laptops that I can load with my distro and provide to under served families. During COVID, my OS was listed in the governments database of family resources for remote learning. I provided custom versions of my distro to dozens of school districts, families and churches. There was even a special version created for a medical facility in France that utilized the native devices in endpoints to create an isolated WiFi mesh network for patient tracking and registration in field hospitals without access to the Internet.
I am a Servant Leader first and a Security Evangelist second, although I feel it is my calling to serve and protect those without the resources to protect themselves in today's connected world.
Reach out to me anytime about anything security (the only any-any rule I like), or to see what cool technology I have in the Cloud Security Proving Ground.
I'll leave you with a final thought. Instead of trying to get InfoSec or Cyber not to say no, why don't you present them with a reason to say yes.
