Precision Drives Success with PGA TOUR Pro Austin Eckroat
PGA TOUR pro and WWT Ambassador Austin Eckroat excels through precision and automation in his swing mechanics, resulting from rigorous practice and validation.
The margin between victory and defeat on the PGA TOUR can be as thin as a blade of grass, making precision and consistency paramount.
For PGA TOUR pro and WWT Ambassador Austin Eckroat, that precision comes from testing, validation and thousands of hours of repetition in practice to automate his approach, swing and mentality.
But it's not simply about automating. It's automating everything right. Gaining visibility into the right data that can help lead to improvements, refusing to allow bad mechanics to creep in and automating what can set you up for success.
Eckroat, a WWT Ambassador since 2023, won the World Wide Technology Championship in November 2024 with a 25-under-par performance highlighted by a 9-under 63 final round on the Tiger Woods-designed El Cardonal Golf Course at the dazzling Diamante Cabo San Lucas resort in Mexico.
"That was some of the best golf I've ever played," Eckroat said following the win. "It was automatic out there."
It was his second win on the PGA TOUR following the a win at the Cognizant Classic in March 2024.
With the win, Eckroat gets a two-year exemption into PGA TOUR events, 500 FedEx Cup points and a spot the 2025 The Players Championship, The Masters and PGA Championship.
He is one of nine WWT ambassadors in addition to WWT's sponsorship of the APGA Player Development Program.
Eckroat's partnership with WWT underscores his commitment to excellence, and he embodies the synergy between technology and sport.
Eckroat turned professional in 2021 after being a three-time All-American golfer at Oklahoma State University. His journey serves as a reminder that in the pursuit of greatness, it is the attention to detail and the commitment to automating the right habits that make all the difference.
